The purpose of REDIMET2 is to apply advanced data analysis techniques (mainly process mining) to discover factors related to the quality of life of people with obesity grade 2 and Type 2 Diabetes who have undergone bariatric surgery. Obesity is a chronic disease with a high health cost and intimately associated with high morbidity/mortality rates.
The project brings together a multidisciplinary team to respond from a clinical-technological point of view to the challenges it poses. The expected results are: to find the determining factors in bariatric surgery interventions, to implement a platform for the management of large amounts of heterogeneous data and to build a decision support system that improves the quality of life of people with obesity and type 2 diabetes.
