Ultrasound

Description

ULTRASOUND is a national project, convened by the Avanza Plan, within the framework of its Digital Contents programme, and whose main aim is the creation of a social multichannel platform of communication and training in ultrasound scan for health professionals dedicated to Primary Healthcare.

The project enables development of new ways to generate content through collaboration, using various means (multimedia) and applications (smartphones and tablets). It also creates new ways of access, control, and evaluation of the training, as well as the offer of specialised and relevant information in order that professionals make the right decisions.

The main objective of the project is the creation of the online platform USPH (UltraSoundPrimaryHealthcare) which will respond to the following requirements:

  • Training in the use of ultrasound scanners in Primary Healthcare.
  • Training and upgrading in diagnosis imaging for Primary Healthcare.
  • Development of specific applications for use of the platform in digital devices such as smartphones or tablets.
  • Discussion, communication and dissemination among professionals through development of varied digital content in which we can include simulation, creation of a repository of ultrasound images and medical case studies.

Itaca-TSB will supervise development of the platform and the project will be coordinated by Webmetrics.
